What am I doing hanging out with the distinguished authors who blog here along with me? Just lucky, I guess.
What am I talking about? Well, I just saw the nominee list for Left Coast Crime Awards which includes the following Inkspot bloggers (who make up over a quarter of the nominations).
The Lefty (most humorous mystery of 2007): Jess Lourey, Knee High by the Fourth of July
The Rocky (best mystery of 2007 set in the West): Bill Cameron, Lost Dog and Tim Maleeny, Stealing the Dragon
The Arty (best cover art of 2007): Tim Maleeny, Stealing the Dragon (again!?)
A hearty mazel tov to Jess, Bill, Tim, and Tim (again)

I still insist that "blog" should not be a verb.
Keith,
We're all lucky to be in such esteemed company. Good luck to our fellow Inkers.

Distinguished...indeed. Well-deserved...absolutely. We're so proud of you!
Count me in on the kudos--you guys rock! :-)

Thank you! I just ordered the other books nominated off of amazon.com. I'm looking forward to some wonderful reading.
Paul, I'm often a stickler when it comes to language. For example, I don't think "impact" is a verb. (Use "affect" instead.) Clearly, though, we disagree on use of blog. Here's what the American Heritage Dictionary has:
"intr.v. blogged, blog·ging, blogs
To write entries in, add material to, or maintain a weblog."
I'll go ahead and blog away, while you post entries in your blog.
Inkers rock.
